Kannada Actor Mayur Patel Arrested In Alleged Drink And Drive Case After Multi-Crash

Kannada actor Mayur Patel was involved in a late-night drink-and-drive incident in Bengaluru, prompting police to seize his vehicle and launch an investigation into a chain collision. The incident took place around 10 pm on Old Airport Road near the Commando Hospital signal, where Mayur Patel, reportedly driving a Fortuner SUV, collided with a stationary car at the traffic light.

Kannada actor Mayur Patel was reportedly taken into custody by Bengaluru Police in connection with a drink and drive case. According to Times Now, the arrest took place in the early hours of January 29, 2026, following a complaint registered against him at Hoysala Police Station. The impact caused a multi-car pile-up involving four other vehicles, including two Swift Dzire cars and a government vehicle, which sustained damage.

Following the crash, the actor allegedly argued with the owner of one of the damaged vehicles. Halasuru Traffic Police responded quickly to the scene and administered a breathalyser test to Mayur Patel, which reportedly yielded a positive result. Based on complaints from affected drivers, police seized his Fortuner and registered a case at the Halasuru Traffic Police Station.

Police Action And Investigation Details

According to police sources, the breathalyser test confirmed alcohol consumption. A complaint filed by one of the injured drivers led to the registration of a case against Mayur Patel. His vehicle remains impounded as authorities continue their investigation into the circumstances of the incident. It involved rash and drunk driving, leading to a series of collisions on Old Airport Road.
