Actor Shine Tom Chacko’s father, CP Chacko, died in a tragic road accident near Bengaluru on Friday morning, according to Manorama News. The accident also injured Shine, his mother, brother, and their driver. They were quickly taken to a hospital for treatment.

The incident happened around 7 a.m. near Palakottai, close to Dharmapuri in Tamil Nadu. The family was travelling by car from Ernakulam to Bengaluru when their vehicle crashed into a truck in front of them. All five people in the car were hurt. Sadly, CP Chacko passed away despite being rushed to the hospital. The others are being treated at the government hospital in Palakottai.

Reports say Shine’s brother was sitting in the front seat with the driver. His father and mother were in the middle seat. Shine was sleeping in the back and hurt his right hand in the crash.

Dharmapuri Superintendent of Police SS Maheswaran confirmed CP Chacko’s death. He also said Shine Tom Chacko is getting medical care. The police have filed a case and are investigating the accident. Another officer said they would speed up the post-mortem process to support the family.

Shine Tom Chacko is a well-known actor in the Malayalam film industry. He started his career as an assistant director to filmmaker Kamal before turning to acting. He made his acting debut in the 2011 film Khaddama.

Shine gained fame for his negative role in the 2019 movie Ishq, which won him the Best Actor in a Negative Role (Malayalam) award at SIIMA 2019. He is also known for roles in Who (2018), Unda (2019), Bhoomiyile Manohara Swakaryam (2020), Operation Java (2021), and Wolf (2021).
