Rajinikanth Warns Youth Against Blindly Following Actors
South star and veteran actor Rajinikanth recently addressed the growing trend of youngsters blindly following actors, urging them to prioritise their future instead. Speaking to reporters outside the Chennai International Airport on Wednesday, the veteran actor shared a strong message, asking youth to be more mindful about their lives, especially at a time when film personalities hold increasing influence in public life.
Emphasising the importance of education and well-being, Rajinikanth cautioned youngsters against putting themselves at risk while chasing celebrities. The veteran actor advised, “The youth should think seriously about their education and future. Youngsters should be careful… If they get injured, it’s their loss…They should focus on their studies and stay healthy. Please don’t get addicted to drugs or alcohol. Life can turn into hell not just for you, but for your parents and loved ones. If any of your friends are using them, don’t go near them.”
His remarks come in the wake of recent incidents involving fans of Vijay Thalapathy. Just last month, five fans were injured in a vehicle collision while following the Leo actor. Earlier, a tragic crowd crush during his rally in the Karur district resulted in over 40 deaths and left many others injured.
Rajinikanth Comments On Jana Nayagan Delay
When asked about the delay in the release of Jana Nayagan, starring Vijay Thalapathy, Rajinikanth chose not to comment, stating, “I don’t want to comment on that.” The film was initially slated for a Pongal release on January 9 but was postponed due to certification delays from the Central Board of Film Certification. Despite heavy promotions by KVN Productions and concerns over financial losses, a new release date is yet to be announced.
On the work front, Rajinikanth was last seen in Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. He will next appear in Jailer 2, the sequel to Nelson’s 2023 hit Jailer. The actor will be seen reprising his role as ‘Tiger’ Muthuvel Pandian alongside Ramya as Vijaya ‘Viji’ Pandian. The film continues the story of a retired officer drawn back into action to protect his family. He is also set to star in an upcoming project alongside Kamal Haasan.
