Rishab Shetty-Led Kantara Chapter 1 Not Delayed; Makers Re-Confirm Release Date With Strong Statement

Hombale Films made waves at the Indian Box office with its 2022 blockbuster, Kantara. The deeply rooted story of Karnataka was a rage among the audiences all over the country. Writer, director and actor Rishab Shetty’s performance and specially the ‘Bhoota Kola’ left every single viewer with goosebumps and his direction just left the world in awe.

Kantara Chapter 1 Not Delayed

Following the viral meme trend and reports of Kantara prequel being delayed, Hombale films have put the rumors to rest once and for all by confirming the film’s same release date which was announced months ago. Shutting down the rumours and re-confirming the release date, Kantara Film wrote on social media, “No doubts. Nodelays 🙂 The legendary saga, #KantaraChapter1 unfolds on October 2nd, 2025.”

Hombale Films are leaving no stone unturned in taking the legacy of this 2022 masterpiece forward. The makers have curated an extensive war sequence for Kantara A Legend Chapter 1 with the help of national and international specialists.

Kantara Chapter 1 Shoot Details

They have hired over 500 skilled fighters for this sequence curating a never seen before fight sequence with action choreography that is at par if not better than the best of the best. This power-packed sequence is all set to feature 3000 people, making it one of the biggest sequences in the history of Indian Cinema.

A sequence of this size requires extreme prep. And so, Rishab Shetty underwent 3- month-long extensive training where he mastered the art of horse riding, Kalari and sword fighting. Shetty has poured in his entire blood, sweat and efforts in doing justice to the magnanimous war sequence.

To shoot this massive sequence the makers identified a very unusual real location in the mountains of Karnataka. The makers are shooting this sequence in an entire town spanning 25 acres. The shoot will last for around 45-50 days.

As the makers have announced the release date of the film the excitement surrounding Kantara A Legend Chapter-1 has multiplied. With Hombale Films’ vision, Rishab Shetty’s dedication, and the legacy of the first chapter, this film is on its way to become yet another cinematic milestone.
