The makers of Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups have unveiled a new poster announcing that the film’s teaser will be released on February 20 at 9:35 AM. The stark visual offers an early indication of the film’s dark tone, suggesting a world shaped by violence and moral ambiguity. It features Yash as Raya at the centre of a blood-streaked blizzard, his face obscured as he drinks straight from a bottle, surrounded by the wreckage of unseen violence in an intoxicating universe.
Yash’s Toxic Teaser Out Tomorrow!
The teaser announcement comes as Toxic remains the most anticipated film in India, driven by a phased rollout of character reveals and controlled marketing cadence. With limited narrative details disclosed so far, the campaign has encouraged audience speculation around the film’s visual language and character dynamics, positioning February 20 as the first opportunity for an intimate glimpse into the film’s world. To maintain the narrative’s impact, the teaser will be released in a single language, allowing the film’s stark imagery and atmosphere to resonate with the audience.
Adding to the growing anticipation, the film’s makers have carefully unveiled an intriguing ensemble cast, each character hinting at a distinct presence in the narrative. Kiara Advani appears as Nadia, portrayed as restrained and emotionally weighted, bringing quiet intensity to the role. Meanwhile, Huma Qureshi is introduced as Elizabeth, commanding and lethal, with an aura of dominance. Finally, Nayanthara emerges as Ganga, whose arrival sharply recalibrates the film’s power dynamics, signalling a shift in the story’s stakes.
Meanwhile, Tara Sutaria plays Rebecca, a character presented as desirable yet unreadable, adding an air of mystery to the narrative. At the same time, Rukmini Vasanth steps in as Mellisa, exuding a quiet, controlled authority that sharply contrasts the chaos unfolding around her. Finally, the makers reserved the most striking reveal for Yash as Raya, whose declaration “Daddy’s home…” not only marks his entry into the story but also doubles as a powerful statement on his much-awaited return to theatres.
