A source close to the development informed India Today that the wedding will be an extremely private affair, with festivities starting on February 24 and culminating in the main ceremony on February 26. “It’s a very small guest list. No phones will be allowed. Even the team capturing the wedding has signed NDAs (Non-disclosure agreement),” the source revealed.

In a notable departure from typical celebrity weddings, no actors or industry colleagues have been invited. The guest list is strictly limited to immediate family members and very close friends. The couple has also adopted a traditional and thoughtful approach in the lead-up to the wedding. Two pre-wedding rituals have already taken place separately—one hosted by Rashmika’s maternal relatives at her home and another by Vijay’s family—marking the union within their respective familial traditions.

Further emphasising their understated approach, Vijay and Rashmika have personally written handwritten notes to friends, requesting only their blessings and asking them not to bring any gifts. According to the source, they have also planned to take time for themselves after the ceremony. “Both Vijay and Rashmika have taken a month off after the wedding,” the insider stated.

Furthermore, there are reports of a grand wedding reception in Hyderabad on March 4. The couple is expected to host their industry friends. Although they haven’t made any official announcements, leaked invitations suggest that the celebration will be a glamorous affair.
