Bigg Boss 13 Fame Himashi Khurana Receives Rs 10 Cr Extortion Threat Via Email; FIR Regsitered, Mohali Police Begins Investigation

Bigg Boss 13 fame Himanshi Khurana has reportedly become the latest celebrity to receive a Rs 10 crore extortion threat. This is been added to the rising concerns over targeted attacks on high-profile individuals. The case bears similarities to the threats made to Ranveer Singh and incidents linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, raising fears of a pattern emerging among these criminal activities.

Himanshi Khurana Receives Rs 10 Cr Extortion Threat Via Email

Himanshi Khurana is a well-known figure in the Punjabi entertainment industry. She filed a complaint with the Mohali police after receiving an extortion email. An FIR has been registered at Sohana police station. The threat email, received on her personal email ID, included a written message and an audio clip. In the recording, a voice purportedly from a foreign-based gangster says, “Zeeshan Akhtar team ton bolde, tuade lai ik important message sada,” before demanding Rs 10 crore. As reported by PTI, Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Saurav Jindal stated that the message was allegedly sent by a gangster based abroad. The investigations are ongoing to establish its origin.

Khurana and her family are said to be distressed by the incident, prompting police action and immediate protection measures. In response to the complaint, authorities registered an FIR on Saturday at Sohana police station under sections 308(4) (extortion) and 351(3) (criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), they added.

Police officials are examining digital evidence to trace the origin of both the email and the voice message. They are also investigating references within the threat to Zeeshan Akhtar. He is wanted in connection with the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique in Mumbai in October 2024. Akhtar has links to rival gangs associated with Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldy Brar, and Rohit Godara. However, the authorities have not yet confirmed any direct connection to Khurana’s case.

Himanshi Khurana, 34, from Kiratpur Sahib, started her career as a model at age 16. She won the Miss Ludhiana title in 2011 and was a finalist in Miss PTC Punjabi 2010. She gained fame through her role in the Punjabi film Sadda Haq, her hit song Soch, and her stint on Bigg Boss 13. With over 12 million followers on social media, she remains a prominent figure in Punjabi entertainment.
