Amar Singh Chamkila teaser: Diljit Dosanjh, Parineeti Chopra narrate an untold story in Imtiaz Ali’s movie

Actors Parineeti Chopra and Diljit Dosanjh are all set to narrate a true story of a popular singer in Punjab. As they are gearing up to showcase the story on celluloid, Parineeti and Diljit have unveiled the teaser of Amar Singh Chamkila. The teaser perfectly teases you as it doesn’t divulge many details about the movie. In the Chamkila teaser, we get to see a glimpse of Diljit who essays the role of the singer.

As per the teaser, the movie is based on true events where a singer named Amar Singh Chamkila was killed at the age of 27. He was the highest-selling record artist. Interestingly, we have often seen Diljit Dosanjh wearing a turban in his movies. However, this time, we have seen him without one, which piqued our interest a little more. The last time we have seen Diljit without a turban was in Netflix’s Jogi.

Given the fact, Imtiaz Ali has always brought stories way ahead of its time or a movie with a great deal of meaning, the audience is hoping the same for Chamkila. Unfortunately, we don’t get to see a glimpse of Parineeti in the teaser.

Sharing the teaser on Instagram, the Ishaqzaade actor captioned, “You’ve heard his voice, now hear his story! Amar Singh #Chamkila, coming soon only on @netflix_in.” Whereas the Good Newwz actor wrote, “Jo naam saalon se aapke dil aur dimaag pe chaaya hai woh ab aapke saamne aaya hai Watch the untold story of Punjab’s highest record-selling artist, Amar Singh #Chamkila, coming soon only on Netflix.”

For the unversed, Parineeti earlier opted out from Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal as she wanted to work with Imtiaz Ali’s Chamkila. Well, here we got a glimpse of the movie and we are indeed very intrigued.
