Shefali Jariwala, best remembered for the chartbuster song Kaanta Laga spoke about her mental health in the view of covid 19 pandemic. She also spoke about the judgements she faced post her second marriage to Parag Tyagi. The former Bigg Boss contestant also shared how she was judged for her divorce as well.

Shefali is married to actor Parag Tyagi. The beautiful couple never ceases to set couple goals. Recalling the judgement she faced after marrying Parag, the actress said, “Women get judged for smallest of things. Nowadays if I post happy pictures I am being judged. It’s a problem you know. Why a woman is subjected to such judgements and men are not. Why is it okay for men to get married 10 times and it’s not okay for a woman to get married twice? Issine kuch kiya hoga. Issi mein kuch hoga. Yeh toh Kaanta Laga ladki hai.Yeh to bahut bold hai. (She only must have done something. She must be at fault. She is Kaanta Laga. She is too bold). Come on, it’s a character I play on-screen and just because you play a vamp or a villain or a bold character. It doesn’t make you that you are an actor.”

“I am very close to my staff. My domestic help is judged all the time. Even if she contracts Corona, people say that she must have done something wrong that’s why she got Covid. People are being judged for falling ill,” she added.

Shefali signed off by saying, “We are always being judged. So you will have to be a little thick-skinned and you got to protect yourself. And as long as you have somebody in your life who doesn’t judge you then it really doesn’t matter what the world thinks. What others think of me is none of my business. The way they chose to perceive me is a reflection of their own self. So do what makes you happy. Do what you think is right. Love your family. Do whatever you can. I would kill for my family. The whole world will judge me and if they put me to jail, I am ready to go. So I will do what I think is right, for me and for the people I love.”
