Jiya Shankar fails to make it to the Bigg Boss OTT 2 grand finale, gets evicted mid-week

Bigg Boss is one of the popular controversial reality shows on television. This time, the second season of Bigg Boss OTT started streaming on 17 June 2023, and 13 contestants were seen entering the house to compete with each other. As the season is inching close to the finale, the makers are surprising the audience with unexpected twists and turns. This weekend we witnessed double elimination that led to Avinash Sachdev and Jad Hadid’s exit from the house. And now, mid-week eviction took place due to which Jiya Shankar left the Bigg Boss OTT 2 house.

After surviving strong evictions and winning several tasks only 6 contestants are now locked inside Bigg Boss house. A surprise task was announced by Bigg Boss, and unfortunately, due to low votes, Jiya Shankar got evicted. The actress bid farewell to her fellow housemates and show with a smile. She also thanked all the housemates and Bigg Boss for a wonderful journey. Much to the viewers’ delight, Bigg Boss also announced the Top 5 finalists for this season.

What led to Jiya’s eviction

In a surprising turn of events, Bigg Boss summoned everyone in the garden area to give the housemates a special final surprise. Bigg Boss gives the contestants a quick recap of all the memories they made through a huge calendar As Bebika was turning the pages, Bigg Boss announces the day’s twist, unveiling the season’s final eviction. Bigg Boss explains that the last image on the calendar belongs to the person who has got the least number of votes among the nominated Elvish, Manisha, and Jiya. Abhishek stepped forward and turned the page and unfortunately, Jiya got evicted. And Elvish, Abhishek, Manisha, Bebika, and Pooja emerged as the TOP 5 of the season.
