According to sources, veteran actor Jeetendra, father of producer Ekta Kapoor, is expected to make a special appearance in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2.

As per a TOI report, producer Ekta Kapoor’s father Jeetendra will make an appearance in the sequel to the show. The show is anticipated to mark a comeback on July 3, with reports indicating that Smriti Irani will reprise her iconic role as Tulsi Virani. The new season is said to comprise approximately 150 episodes, combining classic storytelling with a contemporary twist. However, the producers have yet to make an official statement regarding ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2’.

Celebrated as one of Indian television’s most successful dramas, the original series focused on Tulsi Virani’s life—her role as the ideal daughter-in-law, her relationship with her husband Mihir Virani (played by Amar Upadhyay), and their children. It aired from 2000 to 2008 on Star Plus and maintained the top spot in ratings for seven consecutive years.

Earlier this week, the original cast gathered to celebrate Ekta Kapoor’s 50th birthday at a party attended by notable celebrities including Smriti Irani, Amar Upadhyay, Mouni Roy, Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra, Karishma Tanna, and Anita Hassanandani.
