The Royals Is Back With Season 2! Bhumi Pednekar-Ishaan Khatter’s Romantic Comedy Renews With More Drama, Heat And Suspense

Netflix has officially announced the renewal of The Royals for a second season following a highly successful first instalment packed with excitement and drama. The debut season featured a talented ensemble, including Bhumi Pednekar and Ishaan Khatter. After a dhamakedar run filled with glamour, intrigue, and twists, Netflix revealed that Season 2 is on its way. The initial season also starred Udit Arora, Zeenat Aman, Sakshi Tanwar, and others, setting the stage for more captivating storytelling.

Sharing a new image, Netflix’s Instagram caption stated, “Old money, new blood, and a new season are in the works. The Royals Season 2 is coming soon, only on Netflix.” Fans can look forward to even more heat, drama, and surprises in the upcoming season.

Marketed as a modern Indian fairy tale, The Royals, directed by Priyanka Ghose and Nupur Asthana, features all the hallmarks of a feel-good rom-com: a literal Prince Charming, a self-made heroine, dysfunctional families, ultra-rich yet quirky characters, grand palaces, glitzy musical sequences, and plenty of shirtless swagger. While it ticks all the boxes, the series misses one key element: crackling chemistry.

The first season comprises eight episodes, each approximately 40 minutes long. Besides Ishaan and Bhumi, the season also showcased performances from Sakshi Tanwar, Zeenat Aman, Vihaan Samat, Kavya Trehan, and Lisa Mishra, among others. The Royals is currently streaming on Netflix.
