Mistry: Ram Kapoor REMOVED From Web-Series Promotions After Allegedly Passing S*xually Inappropriate Comments- Report

Ram Kapoor has been removed from Mistry promotions following allegations of making s*xually inappropriate remarks during media interactions. The highly anticipated Ram Kapoor-starrer, Mistry, is scheduled to premiere on June 27, 2025, on JioHotstar. However, before its release, the executives at JioHotstar reportedly decided to exclude him from promotional activities. They cite the incidents at a media event held at JW Marriott, Juhu.

According to a report by Mid-Day, Ram Kapoor was seated alongside co-star Mona Singh and JioHotstar officials when he made comments filled with sexual innuendo that made those present uncomfortable. An insider shared, “The tone and content of his ‘jokes’ were unprofessional. He had multiple interviews that day. When discussing work pressure, he remarked that he felt ‘gang-raped,’ which was said while a journalist was setting up her microphone.”

That same evening, Ram Kapoor also made inappropriate remarks about the outfits and families of JioHotstar and PR team members. One of the company’s executives stated, “He looked at my colleague’s dress and commented, ‘The clothes are distracting,’ referring to its length.”

Ram Kapoor Made Offensive Comments On Staff’s Clothes

Further details reveal that his comments grew increasingly offensive. An employee told the portal, “It didn’t register immediately, but later that evening, we started recounting his offensive comments. He told a male colleague that his mother should have faked a headache and that he shouldn’t have been born. He also made references to sex positions.”

Following these incidents, the platform’s senior management held an internal meeting with HR the next day. They decided to remove Ram Kapoor from all promotional activities. An insider explained, “This workplace values dignity and safety. After a formal complaint was raised and corroborated by eyewitnesses, the leadership acted swiftly. The platform wants to distance itself from any behaviour that perpetuates workplace misconduct. Currently, only Mona Singh is involved in interviews.”

Mistry is a web series. It is described as a mystery dramedy featuring Shikha Talsania, Abhiijeet Chitre, Mona Singh, Kshitish Date, and others in key roles.
