The teaser of Border 2 has ignited strong excitement, drawing whistles, applause and instant attention for its scale, intensity and stirring visuals. Packed with emotion and a sense of purpose, it hints at a cinematic experience rooted in patriotism and realism. As the buzz continues to grow, Ahan Shetty opens up about his deeply transformative journey on the film, sharing how working under director Anurag Singh reshaped not only his performance but his understanding of the discipline, responsibility and mindset required to portray a soldier on screen.
Ahan Shetty Talks About Border 2
Reflecting on Anurag Singh’s approach, Ahan emphasizes that authenticity was non-negotiable on the sets of Border 2. “Anurag Singh understands that authenticity cannot be manufactured, it has to be earned, and he made it clear Border 2 would be forged with military precision, not typical action conventions,” he shares. For Ahan, this meant moving far beyond executing high-octane sequences or dramatic moments.
What truly altered his process was the director’s insistence on mindset over mechanics. “He constantly pushed me to inhabit a mindset rather than just execute sequences,” Ahan explains. “I had to understand what my character was carrying into every moment, the weight of his training, the responsibility to his team, and the knowledge that every decision has life-or-death consequences.”
This psychological immersion became central to Ahan’s performance. He credits Anurag Singh for teaching him the power of restraint and silence. “He showed me that the stillness, the restraint, the command in a soldier’s eyes speaks louder than any action ever could. That shift in perspective transformed how I approached the role entirely.”
Beyond performance, Ahan highlights the larger emotional and moral framework within which Border 2 was created. According to him, Anurag Singh fostered an environment where the cast and crew were constantly reminded of the responsibility that comes with telling such a story. “We weren’t just making an action film, we were creating a tribute to service, where every frame honored the real heroes who wear the uniform,” he says, calling this perspective “the greatest gift” the director gave the team.
Border 2 is presented by Gulshan Kumar, T-Series & J.P. Dutta’s J.P. Films. Backed by a powerful production team including Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, and directed by Anurag Singh, the film continues the legacy of honouring the heroism and indomitable spirit of Indian soldiers, taking audiences on a spectacular journey of patriotism, courage, and sacrifice. Gear up for this monumental saga of patriotism and courage, as Border 2 storms into cinemas on January 23rd 2026.
