Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt is all geared up for the release of her upcoming film, ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ alongside Varun Dhawan and has been promoting the movie at various platforms. She and Varun recently made an appearance on ‘Koffee With Karan 5’ and entertained the audience with their friendly banter.

Apart from this, the actress will also be seen with Ranbir Kapoor in Ayan Mukherji’s romantic-fantasy, ‘Dragon’. She was also recently confirmed as a female lead in Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’ with Ranveer Singh. Alia has always been quite choosy when it comes to her roles and mostly likes playing different characters on screen. (Also Read: Alia Bhatt is in no mood to talk about her love life!)

However, a source confirms that Alia has given a nod to ‘Lunchbox’ director Ritesh Batra’s script and is on board principally. It was her mentor Karan Johar, who had co-produced ‘Lunchbox’, and who got Ritesh to give the actress a narration as he loved the script. Ritesh was initially a little hesitant as he thought Alia was too big an actress to even approach, but Alia loved the story too. Right now the dates and financials are being worked out.”

Considering ‘Lunchbox’ was an offbeat film, we wonder if this one too belongs to the same league and will Alia be open to doing such characters on screen.
