One look at Kriti Sanon’s fashion outing at the premiere of Baaghi 2 and you will know that she’s now following in Kim Kardashian, Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner’s footsteps. Reason? She just hopped on the bandwagon of bum bags, a ’90s trend that we are not quite pleased to see again! (Also read: Kriti Sanon looks summer ready! VIEW PICS!)

Well, if we were to rule out the West, then probably the actress has taken cues from Deepika Padukone’s recent airport look wherein she flaunted her covetable Gucci fanny bag that we are yet to get over!

Let’s first give you a lowdown on Kriti’s look. The starlet upped her style game by wearing checked matching separates from Deme By Gabriella at the movie premiere. Her OOTD included a white noodle strap crop top and a pair of matching palazzos. Ah, what a lovely blend of comfort and ultra-chic styling. And it doesn’t end there! She made an attempt (please note) to make the outfit spicier with a hatke accessory — a basic black bum bag sans any trimmings (why would she do that?). Well, like we told you, the bum bags were a dominant fashion accessory during the 90s and luxury labels like Gucci and Louis Vuitton have plunged into creating exquisitely versions for the crème de la crème market.

Kriti’s look has been styled by Sukriti Grover, who chose to complete the look with a pair of black sandals. For the beauty game, it was all about a nude makeup with subtly-defined eyes, soft lips, and wavy soft hair. If you ask us, although Kriti looked pretty, we ain’t fans of this look as the pants seem to have a bad fit. And the look was too sophisticated, considering it included a sporty accessory like a bum bag. It could have been a lot more experimental and not-so-polished!

If your memory is as good as ours, even Deepika Padukone was spotted wearing a black Gucci bum bag at the airport. But did we tell you that it had classic gold detailing on the black quilted leather? That made a helluva difference. Those funky little details took the bag from blah to bam.

The diva made sure she did complete justice to that star accessory with a crisp, striped shirt with skimpy latex pants and black boots. Now that’s the badass, flirty look fanny waist packs need. After all, why let your sexy waist go waste with a boring piece?

Well, girls, if you need to wear this trend, which we feel is quite unworkable (where’ll all that makeup fit?), do it the Deepika way. At least, there’s some element of fun and it’ll not make us doze off!
