We’re eternal fans of Neha Dhupia’s unapologetic risqué outfits and kickass confidence. The woman has wooed us time and again with her fashion outings and have you ever seen us complaining about anything she dons? NEVER. But the actress has now turned that ‘never’ into a well, ‘yes, maybe’ this time by ruining her gorgeous desi look with one blunder. Neha recently attended a show at the Lakme Fashion Week 2018 in a sensual and refreshing blue kurta with straight-fit white pants by designer Anamika Khanna. And this ain’t an ordinary desi look as it had major boho feels, courtesy its fit and tassel embroidery on the front. Neha, with her towering frame, did complete justice to the oversized number and looked like a delight for the shutterbugs indeed. Celebrity stylist Tanya Ghavri kept the look extremely elegant and opted for elements that didn’t overshadow the kurta.

What we totally love is her silver bindi and powder blue choker that complemented the ensemble oh-so-beautifully. Neha went the intense smokey eye route and nude lips that accentuated her sharp features. A chunky silver cuff rounded off her ethnic look.

But there are two things that, in our opinion, ruined the look. Firstly, that clutch is beyond our understanding. We can’t understand its shape, size or why she’s carrying it. We could still ignore it totally but we’re not sure why Neha wore those white Stella McCartney sneakers. Why would anyone wear platform sneakers with a desi look is more than bewildering. Perhaps, the stylist was trying to throw in a ‘surprise’ element and make the look hatke. But it isn’t working, for sure, making things worse.

We wish Neha had opted for some colourful jootis or sexy heels with that outfit. So, she definitely looked great…but only ankles up, strictly.
