Shocking news!! ‘Chitta Ve’ Song may not be a part of the movie ‘Udta Punjab’

‘Udta Punjab’ has become controversies favourite child. The movie has been embroiled in controversies with the Censor Board right from the beginning. And now we hear that the song ‘Chitta Ve’ may not be a part of the film. While it’s no knowledge that the CBFC has demanded as many as 40 cuts in the film, this is another hurdle that is affecting the movie’s release.

Well, as per the sources, the Censor Board has objections to the word ‘Chitta’ (white) in the song, which has been used as a reference to cocoaine.

They also are unhappy with the usage of words ‘paidashi h****i.’

The decision is sure to face a lot of backlash considering the fact that the song has been out on television, internet and the phone. It’s strange that the Censors are having issue with the wordings of the song now, when it’s all out there.

This song features Shahid Kapoor who plays the character of Tommy Singh, someone who is always high on drugs while he performs live on stage and we are happy to see Shahid’s unmatched intensity and energy in the track. Visually the song is a treat for all fans of Shahid Kapoor as he just nails it with his performance as Tommy Singh, his expressions and dance moves would certainly make everyone wait for the release of this Abhishek Chaubey directorial.

‘Udta Punjab’ also stars Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh in lead roles. It is slated to release on June 17, 2016.
