Subhash Kapoor, who recently suffered a setback when he was dropped from the project ‘Mogul’ due to sexual harassment allegations, might be facing another bump in his career as reports are emerging that he has been dropped from the ‘Jolly LLB’ series. Subhash Kapoor had been accused by actress Geetika Tyagi for an incident that happened in 2014. As a result of this, Kapoor lost out on the project. Aamir Khan, who is producing this project distanced himself from the movie (he has since returned after Kapoor’s ouster) in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations against the maker.

“Fox Star Studios, which produced the ‘Jolly LLB’ series, have zero tolerance for sexual offences. And Akshay Kumar, who plays the lead in the series has made it clear he won’t work with anyone linked to sexual offences. ‘Housefull 4’ director Sajid Khan also, is accused of sexual misconduct, had to be fired on Akshay’s say-so. Subhash Kapoor too will have to go,” a source has been quoted as saying by Bollywood Hungama.

This is not the first instance of a Bollywood director or actor losing work after being accused of sexual harassment. The #MeToo movement in Bollywood has created quite a big storm and the likes of Sajid Khan, Alok Nath, Vikas Bahl, Rajat Kapoor and Nana Patekar have been at the receiving end of the sexual harassment allegations that have been made by women on social media and also in the public domain.

‘Mogul, meanwhile, is set to go on floors in February. The hunt for the new director is on after Subhash Kapoor’s unceremonious exit.
