Sunny Deol, Ajay Devgn

The Hindi ‘Singham’ franchise has been helmed by Rohit Shetty. However, there is another hit movie from the south, ‘Singham 3’, the Hindi remake of which is soon to take off. Before you get confused, these two are separate movies. This one will apparently be helmed by cinematographer-director K Ravi Chadran. And, if you were expecting Ajay Devgn to topline the cast, then you’re wrong because it is Sunny Deol. Reportedly, he will be essaying the role of a cop who is chasing a criminal gang. He will start shooting by the end of this year.

A report in a daily states that the movie will be called ‘S3’ and will be produced by Jayantilal Gada. The source said that before signing on the dotted line, Sunny called up Ajay and informed him that he is doing the movie. He even told him that he won’t use the name ‘Singham’ anywhere. Ajay was completely okay with it. That’s such a sweet gesture from Mr Deol. Well, Sunny Deol too has an action-boy kind of a image and we are sure he is going to nail it. In an interview before, Chandran had said, “The talks are still at a very preliminary stage. I don’t know how the news came out at this stage of the discussion.” Reports in a tabloid stated, “Sunny Deol was pleased with the South flick ‘Singam 3’ and wanted to do the remake in Hindi. The shoot will commence this year-end. Ravi is currently in the US working on the Hindi script and will start scouting for locations after the final script takes shape. As Ravi has worked in both Hindi and Tamil films, he has been chosen to direct the film. Thakur Anoop Singh, who played the villain in the original, will be the villain in the Hindi version, too.”

Can’t wait for this one, right?
