Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu has decided to walk out of Anurag Basu’s next film as the filmmaker reportedly failed to give clarity about the dates. The ‘Jagga Jasoos’ director wanted Taapsee Pannu to play the role opposite Aditya Roy Kapur. According to a report published in DNA, Taapsee had asked Basu about the dates for the shooting of the film but he could not give her any clarity about the movie.

The report also stated that the ‘Manmarziyaan’ actress had one more project lined up and she had to start shooting for that. However, this could be the reason that she opted to exit from Basu’s upcoming project.

Meanwhile, actors such as Rajkummar Rao, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Aditya Roy Kapur and Abhishek Bachchan have been roped in for the Basu’s upcoming project.

On the professional front, the last year was quite good for Taapsee and the most loved character of the actress was Rumi in Anurag Kashyap’s directorial ‘Manmarziyaan’. The film also featured Vicky Kaushal and Abhishek Bachchan.

‘Manmarziyaan’ was a take on modern-day love and the emotions of jealousy and insecurity that come with it. Taapsee’s performance in the film was widely loved by the people. She is all set to collaborate again with Anurag Kashyap to play the role of a professional shooter in ‘Womaniya’.

An industry source told Asian Age, “Taapsee has been undergoing training for this project and the maker of the film wanted to shoot the film during the peak of winter. Hence the film will go on floors by next month in a village in Uttar Pradesh”.

The film ‘Womaniya’ is being directed by Tushar Hiranandani.
