Vikas Bahl says CBFC is to certify not censor.

The ongoing controversy regarding upcoming film Udta Punjab has Bollywood united against the high handedness of Censor Board. The filmmakers and the actors have come together to fight against this unjustice. Abhishek Chaubey’s movie that is based on the ongoing problem of drug abuse and its effect on youngsters is not being passed by the Censors.

The board is demanding a total of 89 cuts, that might cause the movie to face a loss at the box office. Therefore the makers approached the High Court to get the movie released.

THe makers of the movie were unanimously given support by other filmmakers suporting their stand. Vikas Bahl too made his stand clear by suggesting that the Censor Board is to certify not censor.
