Popular Tamil actor Theepetti Ganesan passed away at Madurai Government Hospital due to ill health. As per a report in Times of India, he died due to cardiac arrest early in the morning today. Kanne Kalaimane director Seenu Ramasamy took to Twitter to share the news and also paid tribute to the actor. Seenu Ramasamy wrote in Tamil that he was shocked to hear the news of Karthik aka Theepetti Ganesan’s death. He acted in many films of Ramasamy.

His tweet after translation read: “I was shocked to hear the demise of my brother Karthi aka Theepetti Ganesan at Rajaji Government Hospital in Madurai due to ill health. He was one of the best actors who acted in my films. My heartfelt condolences (sic).”

Theepetti Ganesan acted in movies like Renigunta, Billa 2, Kanne Kalaimane, Thenmerku Paruvakaatru, Ustad Hotel and Neerparavai among others.

Earlier during the lockdown, Theepetti Ganesan was in trouble as he didn’t have films and requested his Billa 2 co-star Ajith to help him. His video of asking for help went viral on social media. As the video became viral, he got help from the fraternity. He also got help to pay the education fees of his children.

He is survived by his wife and two children. May his soul rest in peace and we offer our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
