Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Brahmastra’s original title had a ‘Game Of Thrones’ connection?
From the first glimpse to the logo, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Brahmastra’ has been a topic of discussion since a few days. The director of the film Ayan Mukerji has also made his Instagram debut with ‘Brahmastra’s picture. Speaking more about the film, Ayan Mukerji has recently revealed that ‘Brahmastra’ was not the first name. Earlier, it had a connection with popular American fantasy drama ‘Game of Thrones. Initially, the title of ‘Brahmastra’ was ‘Dragon’.
Those who have watched ‘Game of Thrones’, must have known about Dragon. It has a connection with the epic fantasy drama. In the drama, Daenerys Targaryen hatched 3 dragons when her husband died. The film’s initial name thus had a connect with ‘Game of Thrones’. However, the director of the film revealed that over the course of shooting ‘Brahmastra’, they came up with a name with an Indian connect.
Ayan Mukerji recently took to his (newly created) Instagram account to share the ‘Brahmastra’ logo.
Post the film’s logo, the director posted yet another glimpse from the movie that seemed more like visual effects of fire.

It’s been a long long time since the Brahmāstra journey began… The movie was called Dragon in those days… I had no idea what VFX was but had dreamt up a movie full of it… I had long strange hair… There have been so many milestone memories and discoveries for me through this ride, that sharing them with whoever is listening on Instagram is as much about connecting the dots for myself… Here is the first really simple concept art we made for the movie… but about something that is at the very heart of it… Fire 🔥
Apart from Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, this supernatural thriller also stars Amitabh Bachchan. The cast and crew of the film left for Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh today.
