An investigator told Times Of India, “Tamhankar planned to dump the body at an isolated spot on the Wadala-Mahul stretch as he knew the area. Khushi left the vehicle in her building parking lot as Kirti’s body was in the boot.”

Apparently, a conflict was going on between Siddhesh and Kriti as she was planning to quit her job at Adhuna Akhtar’s Salon. The victim’s family was not happy with the progress of the case and they met Mumbai Commissioner of Police D.D. Padsalgikar to transfer the case Crime Branch in April.
