Is this Aamir Khan’s reason behind postponing ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’s release?

Aamir Khan is undoubtedly one of the ace actors in Bollywood. However, very few know that he is also perfect in marketing his movies. The ‘Mr. Perfectionist’ sure knows how to create buzz of his movies without promotions.

The most awaited movie of the year, ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ was earlier slated to release on 7th November, a date very special for Aamir as Kiran Rao was born on this day. But when the poster of Amitabh Bachchan was revealed yesterday, the release date had been pushed to 8th November.

There is a valid reason why Aamir has postponed the date. As per a report in DNA, “Aamir knows the business very well and it was he who suggested to the team to release the movie a day after Diwali. He’s well aware that the footfalls in the theatres drop considerably in the evenings on account of Lakshmi Puja. So, he strongly recommended deferring the release by a day to make sure the film gets the bumper opening it’s expected to take.” 

Meanwhile, a poster of Fatima Sana Shaikh as Zafira was dropped online today by the makers. Fatima is a warrior thug who is seen holding an arrow and a bow.

Produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films, ‘TOH’ is written and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. It is an epic action-adventure drama based on the novel ‘Confessions of a Thug’ (1839) by Philip Meadows Taylor.  ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ has an ensemble cast of Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The film is slated to hit the screens on November 8, 2018.
