A day after his 56th birthday on March 14, Aamir Khan announced quitting social media. Aamir took to his Instagram and Twitter handle to share this decision with his fans. He has taken this major step to focus more on his work and keep himself dedicated to his art. Saying goodbye to social media, Aamir thanked his fans for the “love” and “warmth” that he got from his fans on his birthday.

He wrote, “Hey guys, thank you so much for all the love and warmth on my birthday ? My heart is full?In other news, this is going to be my last post on social media. Considering that I am SO active anyway ?? I have decided to drop the pretence. We will continue to communicate as we did before. In addition, AKP has created its official channel! So future updates on me and my films can be found there. Here’s the official handle! @akppl_officialnLots of love, always ?a.”

Recently, he decided to turn off his phone till the release of his upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha so that his work doesn’t get affected and he too doesn’t get distracted on sets. It was in 2018, he made his debut on Instagram on his birthday by sharing a picture of his mother. Aamir was not that active on social media but he used to share important news and announcements on his social media handles.

On the professional front, Aamir will be seen in Laal Singh Chaddha, the Hindi remake of the 1994 Hollywood hit Forrest Gump that starred Tom Hanks and Robin Wright. The movie also has Kareena Kapoor Khan opposite him. He will be seen in a dance number Har Funn Maula with Elli Avram for his friend, Amin Hajee’s film Koi Jaane Na. The video released recently.
