Khan who is also known as Mr. Perfectionist added, “I really love the country… That’s how I am. It is rather unfortunate if some people feel that way.” While urging everyone to watch his films, Aamir said, “I want to assure everyone that it’s not the case so please don’t boycott my films, please watch my films.”

For the unversed, the boycott trend started after a section of netizens started digging out Aamir Khan’s 2015 interview at the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards where he had spoken about the growing “intolerance” in India and his then wife Kiran Rao had suggested they leave the country.
