Aamir Khan Reveals How He Kept His Relationship With Gauri Spratt A Secret For 18 Months, Says, “Mere Ghar Pe Focus Thoda Kam Hai”

Aamir Khan is celebrated his 60th birthday on Friday by introducing and confirming his relationship with Bengaluru-based girlfriend Gauri Spratt. The actor revealed how they have been dating for one and a half years. He even spilled beans about his wedding plans. During the media interaction, Aamir Khan also revealed how he managed to keep his relation with Gauri a secret despite being in constant limelight.

Aamir Khan introduced his partner of 18 months to the media at a meet and greet in a Mumbai hotel. There, the actor joked with the media, “Dekha kuch bhi pata nahi chalne diya maine tum logo ko (See, I did not let you get a wind of this).” But how did he managed that? Aamir himself revealed it in a candid chat with the media. The actor said, “For one, she lives in Bangalore, or lived there till recently. So, I would fly down to meet her, and the media scrutiny is less there. So we stayed under the radar.”

Aamir was also asked about the times Gauri visited his family. To which he took a light hearted jibe at other Khan’s and said, “Mere ghar pe focus thoda kam hai. Aap log miss kar dete ho (The focus is not as much on my house. You guys miss things).” When asked what prompted him to go public with the relationship now, the actor said, “We are committed now, and we felt we were secure enough in each other to tell you guys. And this is better, I won’t have to hide things now.”

For those unversed, Aamir introduced his ladylove to media during a meet and greet ahead of his birthday. He requested them not to click her pictures and even shared how she has met SRK and Salman. Talking about marriage plans, Aamir had shared, ““I don’t know… at the age of 60, mujhe shaadi shobha deti hai ki nahi (if it appears alright to get married)”.

Who is Gauri Spratt?

Gauri Spratt hails from Bengaluru and is currently working at Aamir Khan Films. She has a professional background in hairdressing and even owns a salon in Mumbai. Gauri has a six-year-old son from her previous marriage.

Befor Gauri, Aamir was married twice before. He first married Reena Dutta in 1986 and the two were married until 2002. They share two children – Ira and Junaid. He then married Kiran Rao in 2005; they split up in 2021. They share a son – Azad.
