Aamir Khan Reveals Son Junaid Khan NEVER Seeks Advice From Him On Choosing Films; Says, “He Decides These Things Himself”

Aamir Khan recently shared that his son Junaid prefers to make his own decisions when it comes to choosing films. The superstar explained why the young actor often opts for projects without seeking his advice. While many may see having a superstar parent as a blessing, several second-generation actors have spoken about the challenge of living up to a famous legacy. Aamir Khan’s son Junaid is carving his own path one film at a time.

In an interview with Variety India, Aamir revealed that at home, he behaves more like a friend than a strict father. According to him, Junaid, Ira, and even Azad share a very simple and friendly relationship with him. Talking about Junaid, Aamir said his son is quite similar to him and has a strong understanding of cinema, scripts, and editing, along with a determined nature.

He also shared that he taught Junaid how to play chess when he was just four years old. Junaid managed to beat him for the first time at the age of 18, after nearly 14 years of practice. He added, “He always wins. And one more thing. Junaid does not consult me about anything he takes on. I believe he has signed two films, one of which is with Ektaa Kapoor and Balaji Telefilms. He decides these things himself and that’s great.”

Junaid Khan’s Projects

Aamir, who made his debut with Maharaja, was last seen in Loveyappa with Khushi Kapoor. Junaid’s next project is the romantic drama Ek Din, produced by Aamir Khan Productions, scheduled to release on May 1. The film features South actress Sai Pallavi as the female lead, and its trailer was recently unveiled, garnering positive reactions. He is also reportedly set to star in Ragini MMS 3. Reports suggest Tamannaah Bhatia has been cast opposite him.

Aamir Khan’s Projects

Meanwhile, Aamir was last seen in the social drama Taare Zameen Par. He is currently working on his next production, Lahore 1947, starring Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta. The Mr Perfectionist has not yet announced his next film.
