Aamir Khan Shares How Love with Gauri Spratt Began Unexpectedly; Says, “We Met By Mistake And…”

Actor Aamir Khan spoke about his relationship with Gauri Spratt and how he never expected to fall in love again. Aamir said he once believed he was too old to find a new partner. Before meeting Gauri, Aamir went through therapy and worked on healing himself.

Aamir Khan On His Relation With Gauri Spratt

Speaking about how he met Gauri, Aamir shared on Raj Shamani’s podcast, “I felt like I had aged and wondered who I would meet at this stage of life. During therapy, I realized I needed to love myself first and focus on being emotionally healthy.”

The Sitaare Zameen Par actor said he had two deep and meaningful relationships in the past with Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao and he still shares a close bond with both. “We still respect each other and are part of each other’s lives,” he added.

Talking about how he met Gauri, Aamir said, “Gauri and I met by mistake and we connected and we became friends, and love happened. I thought I had my mother, kids, and siblings – I have so many close relationships that I don’t need a partner. Kiran, Reena and I still work together for the Paani Foundation, and we sit and talk every day there is a genuine love and warmth between us as a family and we will always be family. We might not be husband and wife but we will always be family. They will always be an unshaken part of my family and life.”

He also mentioned that he, Reena, and Kiran still work together at the Paani Foundation and remain close. “Even though we are no longer married, they will always be part of my family,” Aamir said warmly.

Aamir and Gauri made their first public appearance as a couple at the Macau International Comedy Festival in China on April 12. He confirmed the relationship with the media during his 60th birthday celebration. On the work front, Aamir will next appear in his home production Sitaare Zameen Par and in director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s action film Coolie.
