This is when Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s ‘Gulab Jamun’ goes on floors

Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are finally sharing the same screen in ‘Gulab Jamun’. Bollywood filmmakers were trying hard to bring back the couple on screen and the husband-wife duo finally gave their nod to work together after a long gap. Produced by Anurag Kashyap, the movie is directed by Sarvesh Mewara.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, Abhishek and Aishwarya will start shooting for this movie mid next year. Report says, “Abhishek Bachchan is slated to begin shooting for his next film after ‘Manmarziyaan’ in October. He also has Kabaddi season simultaneously. After wrapping up all those, Abhishek and Aishwarya are expected to begin the prep for the movie. Aishwarya will also finish her annual commitment of gracing the Cannes Film Festival. After all of that is done, the movie is expected to go on-floors in June or July 2019.”

Another source close to the portal said, “The recce and the scheduling has already begun. The shoot plan will be announced once the official announcement of the film is made by the makers. Tentatively, it is a three month shoot starting off with Mumbai. The other details are being worked out.”

During one of the promotions of ‘Fanney Khan’, Aishwarya confirmed about the news of appearing in ‘Gulab Jamun’ with her hubby Abhishek. Aish had said, “AB and I have agreed to do ‘Gulab Jamun’. I told AB that he needs to decide what he wants to do after ‘Manmarziyan’. The script was offered a year and half back. We had agreed on the idea then. However, it was around the same time that AB decided to take time-out. After the hiatus, he returned with ‘Manmarziyan’, which coincidentally is directed by Anurag Kashyap. That’s when the chatter around ‘Gulab Jamun’ began again, and we finally came on board. It is a beautiful script, and we fit the narrative perfectly.”

Talking about ‘Gulab Jamun’, Abhishek said the movie has a sweet script and they (Aishwarya and Abhishek) are eagerly wanting to do it. We are also eagerly waiting for Aish-Abhi’s comeback together on screen. What about you?
