Abhishek Bachchan keeps promise as he holds special screening of Dasvi at Agra Central Jail

Actor Abhishek Bachchan is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Dasvi also co-starring Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur. The team is currently promoting the movie. Today, Abhishek shared a video of Dasvi’s first screening that took place in Agra Central Jail. It was while he was shooting the film, the actor promised the inmates and guards that he would keep the first screening of Dasvi for them and he kept his promise.

In the video shared by Abhishek Bachchan on Instagram, we can see him, Yami and Nimrat along with the entire team walking inside the Agra Central Jail. Jr Bachchan gave glimpse of the preparation that took place for the screening. The inmates looked very happy with it.

Sharing the video, the actor wrote, “A promise is a promise!! Last night I managed to fulfil a commitment I made a year ago. The first screening of our film #Dasvi held for the guards and inmates of Agra Central Jail. We shot the film here. Their reactions are memories I will remember and cherish for a lifetime.”

Talking about Dasvi, the trailer released recently where Abhishek is playing CM Ganga Ram Chaudhary, who is jailed in a teachers’ scam and he decides to give the 10th board exams from inside the prison. Yami Gautam plays the IPS Officer, and Nimrat Kaur, his wife who takes over the CM chair when Abhishek is in jail. Will he be able to complete his education by beating all the obstacles? That’s the crux of the story.

Directed by Tushar Jalota, Dasvi is backed by Dinesh Vijan and Bake My Cake Films. It will start streaming on Jio Cinema and Netflix on April 7, 2022.
