Abhishek Bachchan took to social media to commend Agastya Nanda and praise the entire team behind the upcoming film Ikkis. The actor recently supported his nephew, who is making his big-screen debut in Sriram Raghavan’s war drama Ikkis. Abhishek shared a heartfelt shoutout, highlighting the immense responsibility Agastya has undertaken in portraying Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra.

Agastya is the son of Abhishek’s sister, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, and her husband, Nikhil Nanda. On Tuesday, Abhishek posted a behind-the-scenes video on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) from the Ikkis set. In his message, he wrote, “Agastya, this is a huge honour and responsibility!!”

He expressed hope that audiences will embrace Agastya wholeheartedly and extend their love to the film. “A huge hero of our nation. Navya Cheers For Brother Agastya
Agastya’s sister, Navya Nanda, also cheered for her brother. She took to Instagram to honour Arun Khetarpal, writing, “This Vijay Diwas, we remember and honour India’s hero, 2nd Lt. Arun Khetarpal — at just 21, he achieved what most cannot in a lifetime. He reminds us that you are never too young to change the world!”
She continued, “Arun didn’t just defend our nation; he left behind an example for every young Indian to rise and stand for something bigger. Today, his legacy and story reach a new generation, inspiring us that the future of India is brave, bold, and unstoppable.”
About Ikkis
Ikkis narrates the story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, one of the youngest Param Vir Chakra awardees, who displayed extraordinary bravery during the 1971 Indo-Pak War. Directed by renowned filmmaker Sriram Raghavan, the film stars Agastya Nanda in the lead role, with Dharmendra portraying the older Arun Khetarpal in his final on-screen appearance following his passing. Dharmendra died on November 24 at his Mumbai residence. The film is scheduled for release on December 25 and also features Jaideep Ahlawat and Simar Bhatia in key roles.
