Harish Shankar REACTS To Ustaad Bhagat Singh BO Struggle Trolls

Ustaad Bhagat Singh, starring Pawan Kalyan, Rashii Khanna, and Sreeleela, was released in theatres last week. Director Harish Shankar has stated that he welcomes constructive criticism amid the success of Dhurandhar 2. The film faced stiff competition from Ranveer Singh’s blockbuster Dhurandhar The Revenge, which opened on the same day and has been breaking box office records, making it challenging for Pawan Kalyan’s film to make a significant impact at the box office.

Harish Shankar REACTS To Ustaad Bhagat Singh BO Struggle Trolls

During a fan interaction, Harish Shankar addressed the negative reviews and box office performance of Ustaad Bhagat Singh. He said, “Trollers are free to say whatever they want, but I focus on constructive criticism. If someone says, ‘the scene wasn’t well written’ or ‘the first half was slow,’ I take that seriously. But I don’t pay much attention to troll accounts because their identities are unknown, and they are often insecure about revealing themselves.”

He added, “If I make a statement, I stand by it and take responsibility. When people criticize in the dark, it’s different. I’ve been trolled so much that I would have quit Twitter long ago if I cared about it. The first people to criticize me are my own parents when I told them I wanted to work in films. It’s nothing new when someone questions my ability to direct. I block or report abusive comments when they cross the line. I feel proud of how I overcame all odds to release this film in theaters.”

About Ustaad Bhagat Singh

Ustaad Bhagat Singh, directed by Harish Shankar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, is an adaptation of Atlee and Vijay’s 2016 film Theri. The movie has been in production since 2023, with music composed by Devi Sri Prasad and Thaman S. Despite the hype, the film has not seen much growth in collections and has yet to cross Rs 100 crore after one week, receiving mixed reviews upon release.

The film also features Ashutosh Rana, Nawab Shah, BS Avinash, R Parthiban, Gautami, and Chammak Chandra. This marks the second collaboration between Harish Shankar and Pawan Kalyan after their 2012 hit Gabbar Singh, a remake of the 2010 film Dabangg.

About Dhurandhar 2

Dhurandhar The Revenge has taken the box office by storm within days of its release.
