Aishwarya Rai Bachchan looks ethereal as she clicks selfies with co-stars in BTS photos from Ponniyin Selvan 1 sets

After almost over two years, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be seen in Ponniyin Selvan 1. Aishwarya will be playing dual role – Queen Nandini and her mother Mandakini Devi. Several pictures of Aishwarya from the sets have been going viral on social media. And now, Aishwarya’s co-star Radhakrishnan Prathiban shared some unseen BTS pictures with her from the sets of Ponniyin Selvan 1. R Prathiban will be seen in the role of Chinna Pazhuvettaraiyar.

In the photos, Aishwarya is dressed in a red silk saree paired with traditional jewellery. The actress is seen clicking selfies and posing for them with her co-stars. Another picture shows her sitting on a white chair.

Earlier, Aishwarya opened up about working with Mani Ratnam at an event and said, “Working with Mani sir, he is my guru. I worked on my first film with him. I am blessed to get an opportunity to start my journey as an actor working with him. The perfect school, the perfect guru, because experience is the best teacher.”

The actress added, “A lot of work ethic, it all starts in the beginning. What better than to have begun my approach to my craft than with Mani sir. I am very very blessed that I got the opportunity with Thiruvar, then again in Guru, in Ravan and now in Ponniyin Selvan. It’s his dream project and you have got the opportunity to be a part of it and that in itself is any artist’s dream. And I think we all feel privileged to be a part of his dream projects. And, what a team, what a talent, what artists, what creative talent. Everybody has done such a brilliant job.”
