Ajay Devgn Is Back As IRS Amay Patnaik On His 74th Raid; Crime Thriller  To Release On THIS Date

Actor Ajay Devgn is back as IRS officer Amay Patnaik as he announces the release of his upcoming film Raid 2, which is a sequel to the 2018 film Raid. The film is directed by Rajkumar Gupta and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishna Kumar.

Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 To Release On May 1, 2025

Raid 2 will be released on 21st February 2025. Sharing the poster of the film, he wrote, “Naya Shehar. Nayi File. Aur Amay Patnaik Ki Ek Nayi Raid. #Raid2 knocking at your doors in cinemas near you on 1st May, 2025.”

Raid 2 stars Vaani Kapoor as the female lead, Ritesh Deshmukh as the antagonist, and Rajat Kapoor in a pivotal role. Extensively shot in Delhi and Lucknow, Raid 2 promises another adrenaline-filled ride.

Raid 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and Krishan Kumar. Gulshan Kumar and T-Series present the film, a Panorama Studios production. The film is set to release theatrically on May 1, 2025.

About Raid

Raid was directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who will also direct the second part with Ajay in the lead. Raid movie was released in 2018. Raid followed the story based on the real-life income-tax raid conducted by the officers of the Income Tax Department on Sardar Inder Singh in the 1980s.

The first installment had Ileana D’Cruz as Ajay’s wife, whereas Saurabh Shukla was seen as antagonist.
