Akshay Kumar CONFIRMS Kesari: Chapter 3, Based On Sikh Warrior Hari Singh Nalwa

Akshay Kumar has confirmed that Kesari: Chapter 3 is happening, and he also shared who the new film will focus on. While speaking to the media at the trailer launch of Kesari: Chapter 2, Akshay revealed that the next movie in the franchise will be based on the life of Hari Singh Nalwa. He was the first commander-in-chief of the Sikh Khalsa Fauj, which was the army of the Sikh Empire.

Who Was Hari Singh Nalwa? Akshay Kumar To Portray Iconic Sikh General

Hari Singh Nalwa was a brave Sikh commander and a key figure in Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s army. He was respected for his leadership and strength. He served as the Governor of Kashmir, Hazara, and Peshawar. He was best known for his many victories against Afghan forces. He played an important role in stopping Afghan invasions through the Khyber Pass, a route often used by invaders to enter India.

He also helped expand the Sikh Empire by leading the conquests of Kasur, Sialkot, Attock, Multan, Kashmir, Peshawar, and Jamrud. By the time he passed away, Jamrud had become the western border of the empire.

Hari Singh Nalwa even set up mints in Kashmir and Peshawar to help the empire collect revenue more easily. Interestingly, Akshay had once said in a 2022 interview that he wished to play Hari Singh Nalwa on screen. Now, that wish is coming true.

With Akshay Kumar stepping into the role of this legendary warrior, fans are excited to see this powerful story unfold in Kesari: Chapter 3.
