Superstar Akshay Kumar tested for COVID-19 yesterday. Today morning, (April 5), he shared the latest update on his health on his social media handle. The actor confirmed as a precautionary measure, he has been admitted to the hospital. “Thank you, everyone, for all your warm wishes and prayers, they seem to be working I am doing fine, but as a precautionary measure under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home soon. Take care,” he wrote in his note on Twitter.

He recently began shooting for Ram Setu with Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha. The actor has been on the go to ensure all his projects are completed on time. He was also the first one to begin shooting for Bellbottom during the lockdown in England.

Yesterday taking to his Instagram, he confirmed the news that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and will be under home quarantine till he recovers. Akshay Kumar has immediately isolated himself and has been taking the necessary measures. He also informed in the note that he has taken the advice of medical health experts and hopes to be back in action very soon.

Akshay Kumar shares health update after testing COVID positive:

Akshay Kumar is the latest celebrity to have tested positive for COVID-19. Aamir Khan, Kartik Aaryan, R Madhavan, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Fatima Sana Shaikh, among others have contracted coronavirus. Some have now gotten better whereas some are in recovery. Akshay Kumar joined the shooting schedule of Ram Setu after wrapping Atrangi Re, in which he co-stars with Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan.

According to the reports, producer Vikram Malhotra made it mandatory for everyone to get tested before arriving on the sets of Ram Setu. Now, it is being reported that 45 junior artists from the 100 have tested positive for COVID-19.

The Maharashtra government on Sunday initiated a lockdown-like situation in the state till April 30. As a result, multiplexes and single-screen cinemas will remain shut. The film and television shoots, however, have been allowed.
