Akshay Kumar-Sonakshi Sinha starrer ‘Holiday-A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’ had an outstanding weekend as it went on to mint Rs. 68.63 cr nett in India. After pushing the Arjun Kapoor – Ranveer Singh starrer Gunday to a second place it is now following ‘Jai Ho’, which stands tall with the business of Rs. 88.78 cr in a week.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “Holiday Fri 12.08 cr, Sat 12.46 cr, Sun 16.85 cr, Mon 8.11 cr, Tue 7.10 cr, Wed 6.31 cr, Thu 5.74 cr. Total: Rs 68.63 cr nett. India biz. Holiday Overseas total – Week 1: $ 2.853 million [Rs 17.01 cr]. Has performed best in UAE-GCC and Pakistan.”

As per sources, “The A.R. Murugadoss’s ‘Holiday-A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’ is now following ‘Jai Ho’, which had done a record setting business of Rs 88.78 cr in a week. It looks possible that Akshay Kumar’s ‘Holiday-A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’ might surpass Salman Khan’s Jai Ho starrer but we have to wait for that.

Released in over 3500 screen, its worldwide collection goes to Rs 85.73 cr for one week and is still counting.
