“Akshaye Khanna Was Completely In The Zone,” Reveals Dhurandhar Actor Hirav Mehta As Actor’s Dance In Flipperachi’s Song Take Over Social Media

Aditya Dhar’s espionage thriller Dhurandhar has taken over the internet and how. Starring Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi and Sara Arjun in pivotal roles, the action spy thriller has gone viral on social media as well as collected over Rs 200 crore (NBOC) domestically.

One of the film’s most viral scenes without a doubt is Akshaye Khanna’s dashing entry to Flipperachi’s Fa9la. During a recent chat, Hirav Mehta – who plays a BUF (Baloch United Force) rebel in the film, opened up about shooting the viral dance sequence. Read on to know all he said.

Hirav Mehta: Akshaye Khanna Has This Amazing Aura

Stating that the energy on set played a big role in shaping the now-viral Flipperachi dance moment, Hirav Mehta said, “When I went on the set, I first met Ranveer Singh sir and obviously his energy is power-packed. He’s always very cheerful, and everyone’s face lights up when he enters. His energy gets transferred to everyone, but when he’s in character, he’s completely locked in.”

Talking about Akshay Khanna and his aura, the actor continued, “Meeting Akshaye Khanna was equally memorable for him. The way he comes on set, he has this amazing aura. He greets everyone and then instantly locks into the character.”

Hirav: None Of Us Imagined This Scene Would Break The Internet

Talking about the viral dance sequence, Hirav revealed that the magic unfolded organically. He states, “Their entry shot was done, and then we went into the tent where all the dancers were already dancing. Ranveer sir was pumping up the energy, saying, ‘Let’s go guys, let’s go!’” Hirav continued, “When it was Akshaye sir’s turn, his dance wasn’t choreographed at all. He was completely in the zone, vibing with the dancers and enjoying the moment.” Mehta further added that the rest of the actors naturally moved along with the rhythm as they entered the frame.

Reflecting on the unexpected response, Hirav Mehta said, “None of us ever imagined that this scene would break the internet among all the scenes in the film. I’m just incredibly grateful to be a part of the scene and the movie itself. Seeing audiences replay it and truly vibe with it is something I never imagined would happen.”
