Alia Bhatt And Ranbir Kapoor Have Already Decided A Name For Raha’s Sibling? Actress Makes Big Revelation

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have already chosen a name for Raha Kapoor’s future sibling. Back in 2022, they introduced their newborn daughter Raha to the world through their first family photo on Instagram, which captured the couple gazing down at their baby girl, with a customized jersey on the wall displaying the name ‘Raha.’

Alia revealed that the name was suggested by Ranbir’s mother, veteran actress Neetu Kapoor. The name ‘Raha’ signifies a divine path, peace, joy, freedom, and bliss—all feelings that Alia and Ranbir experienced when they held their daughter for the first time. Interestingly, ‘Raha’ wasn’t the couple’s initial choice.

During a podcast with Jay Shetty, Alia shared that she and Ranbir had initially favored a boy’s name before selecting ‘Raha’ for their daughter. She recounted, “I think this was when both Ranbir and I were eager parents, asking we have a family group all the family members to give boy and girl names so we are prepared, so we can zero down on a girl name and a boy name. There were multiple boy and girl names, and we really liked one boy name. We said, ‘This is a lovely boy name,’ which I’m not going to reveal now.”

Alia continued,  “We said, ‘This name is lovely, now any more girl names?’ My mother-in-law, Ranbir’s mum, suggested, ‘What about Raha? It will go very well with the boy name as well if you ever have a boy. If you have a girl and a boy, both will be a really good combination.’ She suggested a girl and girl combination as well. Ranbir and I instantly loved Raha. We had two names one for a boy and one for a girl ready,”

Fans are eagerly anticipating the name that Alia and Ranbir have selected for their second child, who will be Raha’s sibling. They can wait patiently for the reveal! On the professional front, Alia and Ranbir are set to appear together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Love & War,” alongside Vicky Kaushal.
