Alia Bhatt Reveals She Wanted To QUIT Her Social Media After Daughter Raha’s Birth; Says, “Don’t Want To Keep Up With This Conversation Again”

Alia Bhatt was in a relationship with actor Ranbir Kapoor for several years before they married in April 2022. Their first child, Raha, was born in November of the same year. In a recent interview, Alia opened up about her experiences with fame and her social media presence. She shared that there are days when she feels like deleting her social media accounts.

Alia explained that while she sometimes wants to step away from social media and focus solely on acting, she understands that doing so would mean losing contact with many of her supporters who have been with her from the beginning. “There are days when I wake up and think, okay, I just want to delete my social media and be an actor who acts. I don’t want to keep up with this conversation again and again. I know that would really cut off contact with so many people who’ve supported me from the beginning, and I don’t want to do that,” she said to Esquire India.

She also mentioned that sharing her personal life has become more challenging, as her life is now so private that it’s difficult to take pictures of herself. “My photo album is full of Raha. I actually have to work hard to take pictures of myself,” she added. Alia described motherhood as “a massive change” that affects both her body and mindset.

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, after dating for several years, tied the knot in April 2022. Their daughter Raha was born later that year. The couple surprised fans by making their first public appearance with Raha on Christmas 2023.

Alia’s Upcoming Projects

Alia is set to star in Alpha, an action-packed thriller directed by Shiv Rawail. In the film, she will portray a commanding officer leading an all-women combat unit alongside Sharvari Wagh. The movie is part of the YRF Spy Universe and also features Bobby Deol. Originally scheduled for a Christmas 2025 release, the film was pushed back to April 17, 2026, and is expected to arrive later in 2026, with the exact date yet to be announced.

Additionally, Alia will appear alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, a period romantic drama.
