Alpha, Battle Of Galwan Box Office Clash Averted; Alia Bhatt, Sharvari-Led Spy Actioner To Now Release On THIS Date

Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe is loved across the nation ever since it became with the Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif-led actioner Ek Tha Tiger. Now, over 14 years later, fans will be treated to the universe’s first female-led installment – Alpha starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in the lead. Ever since the film was announced, there has been massive buzz around it, especially with regards to its release date.

Initially slated to release on Christmas 2025, the spy action was later reportedly postponed to April 17, 2026. Now, as per the latest post by the makers, the film has a new release date. Scroll below to know all about it.

Alia Bhatt, Sharvari’s Alpha To Release On July 10, 2026

On Monday, March 9, YRF took to their social media handles and announced the new release date of Alpha along with a new poster. The poster – which once more feature the alpha symbol, also offers a partial glimpse of Alia Bhatt’s character – a look of her eye and wounds on her face and arm . Sharing the news, they simply wrote, “ALPHA 10.07.2026”

Alongside a glimpse of Alia’s character, the poster also features the names of the lead cast – Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor. The “10.07.26. Only in cinemas” text also clearly dismiss all rumours circulating about an OTT release

With this new release date in place, the Alia Bhatt and Sharvari-led spy actioner will now avoid a box-office clash with Salman Khan’s Battle of Galwan. Khan’s film – based on the 2020 India-China clash, will release on April 17.

About Alpha

Alpha is directed by Shiv Rawail and produced by Aditya Chopra under the YRF banner. As per reports, a majority of the film has been shot in Kashmir. While Alia Bhatt and Sharvari are said to be playing the leads, Bobby Deol is expected to play the main antagonist. Deol’s character is the one who possibly trains Alia’s character before turning into her nemesis. The film will see Anil Kapoor reprise his character – Vikrant Kaul, from War 2.
