Amaal Mallik Accuses Anu Malik Of Ruining Father Daboo Malik’s Career; Says, “He Often Tried To Sabotage…”

Music composer Amaal Malik spoke about deep issues in his family, accusing his uncle, Anu Malik, of hurting his father Daboo Malik’s career. Amaal said that Anu often took away music projects meant for Daboo, sometimes even working for free to win them. This, Amaal believes, played a big part in his father’s long battle with depression.

Amaal Mallik Alleges Anu Malik Sabotaged Daboo Malik’s Career

Amaal shared that his father struggled with depression from the age of 32 to 45, and that he saw it all while growing up. These experiences motivated Amaal to work hard and prove himself in the music industry, not just be seen as “Anu Malik’s nephew.”

He also said Anu Malik’s rivalry didn’t stop with his father, but extended to him as well. Amaal claimed Anu tried to affect his music career too, although he admits Anu respects his talent. Despite the public respect he shows Anu, Amaal said their personal relationship is not good because of the past.

He and his brother, singer Armaan Malik, have made a promise to never let competition hurt their bond. They want to support each other, unlike what happened in the older generation.

Amaal On Anu Malik’s MeToo Movement

Amaal also spoke about the sexual harassment accusations against Anu Malik during the MeToo movement. He said he didn’t defend Anu because he doesn’t consider him part of his family anymore. He believes the victims and feels embarrassed by the accusations.

In the end, Amaal said he’s always tried to keep his work environment safe and respectful. He told his father that he could never ask for anything wrong in return for giving someone a song. Amaal wants to be known for his music and his character.
