Veteran superstar Amitabh Bachchan has begun work on his much-anticipated film Kalki 2, and the shoot schedule kept him away from one of his most cherished rituals, meeting fans outside his Mumbai residence, Jalsa, every Sunday. Amitabh Bachchan Reunites With Kamal Haasan For Kalki 2

For years, Big B has followed a weekly tradition of greeting well-wishers outside his home, Jalsa, but this weekend, the actor skipped the gathering as he travelled out of town for the film’s production. Taking to his Tumblr blog, he shared pictures of fans waiting outside his residence and expressed gratitude for their unwavering support, saying, “told them that this Sunday I shall not be able to come, since I was shooting in Hyderabad .. but still they come .. to confirm .. even this cute little fellow” sharing a image of a dog who came to see him.

Sharing an update from the sets of Kalki 2, he wrote, “but apologies .. work first .. rest later .. meeting up with the great KAMAL HAASAN … we shall be working together after ages .. last in Giraftar .. Kalki 2 begun the work .. and shall ever cherish the love and affection of anticipated presence on the Sunday .. but hopefully shall be with all this coming Sunday ..”

The note also marks a reunion between Bachchan and Kamal Haasan, who last shared screen space in Giraftar. Their collaboration after 4 decades has further heightened excitement around the sequel. With production now underway and two cinematic legends reuniting on screen, Kalki 2 has already emerged as one of the most anticipated projects in the pipeline.

Meanwhile, speculation around the film’s casting continues to circulate. Reports suggest that Sai Pallavi might replace Deepika Padukone in the role of Sumati. However, the makers have not confirmed any such development so far.
