Amitabh Bachchan celebrated 30 years of his film Ajooba. The film, released in 1991, was produced and directed by Shashi Kapoor. Ajooba, a superhero film, released on April 12, 1991. The film starred Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor, Amrish Puri and Dimple Kapadia in pivotal roles.

Sharing a picture of himself from the film, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “30 years of AJOOBA .. !!! Saal gujarte rahe ; .. sukh ki , kuch dukh ki .. saathi chale gaye , yaadein bhar reh gayin! (sic).”

Shashi Kapoor’s brother Shammi Kapoor was also part of the film. Rishi Kapoor died on April 30, 2020, after battling cancer for two years. Ajooba was co-directed by Shashi Kapoor and Gennadi Vasilyev. The film was loosely based on Arabic folklore.

On Sunday, Big B took to his Instagram handle to celebrate 46 years of ‘Chupke Chupke’. The actor shared a BTS photo with wifey Jaya Bachchan and wrote, “‘Chupke Chupke ‘,with Hrishi Da, closing in to 46 years today .. that house that you see in the pic with Jaya .. is now Jalsa my home, bought & rebuilt .. many films shot there – Anand, Namak Haram, Chupke Chupke , Satte pe Satta it was Producer NC Sippy’s house , then..It is just past midnight and .. Mumbai .. the city that never sleeps .. has become so silent(sic)”.

On the work front, Big B has The Intern, Jhund, Brahmastra, Goodbye and May Day in the pipeline.
