Amitabh Bachchan is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie titled Goodbye. The makers of Goodbye released the trailer of the movie on Tuesday, September 6. At the trailer release of Goodbye, Big B opened up about his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan. Amitabh Bachchan shared how he was deeply affected by the death of his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan. However, Sr Bachchan further mentioned that it was a friend’s advice that helped him.

At the trailer launch of Goodbye, the actor mentioned that a friend once asked him to be happy with the fact that he was able to spend 60 years of his life with his father. Big B shared that his friend’s words helped him cope up with the loss of his father.

Sr Bachchan said, “I performed my father’s last rites and sat in my room. I was upset.”

He continued, “A friend, who was sitting with me, said that I should be happy that I spent 60 years of my life with my father. He then said that he was able to spend only 25. This helped me realise the importance of elders.”

Harivansh Rai Bachchan passed away in 2003. He breathed his last on January 18, in Mumbai.

Talking about the movie Goodbye, the film is directed by Vikas Bahl and features Neena Gupta, Rashmika Mandanna and a few others apart from Big B. The movie is produced by Ektaa Kapoor. The movie is scheduled for a release on October 7.

Work-wise, Big B has the movie Brahmastra awaiting the release. He has Project K with Deepika Padukone and Prabhas. He even has The Intern with Deepika Padukone and Uunchai directed by Sooraj Barjatya. Sr Bachchan features in Uunchai with Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Danny Dengonzpa and Parineeti Chopra. The superstar has a few other movies in his kitty, most of them releasing this year.
