Not a veteran yet! Anupam Kher declares competition with Tiger Shroff and Varun Dhawan – details inside

Anupam Kher has been a part of Bollywood for almost four decades now. The actor is set to star in his 539th film and is a force to be reckoned with in Bollywood. He has played diverse roles from fun to intense and impactful, Anupam has done it all. The actor attending the 2023 Jagran Film Festival (JFF) shared that he doesn’t consider himself a veteran actor or legend. In fact, Anupam Kher says that he is competing with Tiger Shroff and Varun Dhawan.

In every sense, Anupam Kher has delivered some of the most beloved performances. When discussing the meaning of being a veteran, it signifies someone who possesses extensive experience in a particular field. And undoubtedly, Anupam Ji has that experience. However, it appears that he still believes there is a long journey ahead. He expressed, “I’m not competing with my contemporaries. I’m competing with the Tiger Shroffs of the world. I’m competing with Varun Dhawan. So, don’t call me a legend, veteran or thespian because these (tags) mean you have worked a lot, please take retirement. There are still 30-40 years to go for my retirement.”

Anupam Kher announces his 539th film

The actor recently announced his 539th film. And it looks nothing less than wow. Sharing his first look, he wrote, “ANNOUNCEMENT: My 539th film is! not based on mythology or any of our great epics. But certainly India’s biggest Multi language fantasy film and you know the subject very well. The makers will announce the details on 24th of August! In the meantime you can share your guesses with me!!! Jai Ho! #539th #Film #Fantasy.”

Anupam Kher upcoming movies

On the work front, the actor has done over 500 movies and there’s no stopping. He will next be seen in Anurag Basu’s Metro…In Dino. The movie also stars Aditya Roy Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan. In addition to that, he also has The Vaccine War and Kangana Ranaut’s movie The Emergency.
