Actor Anupam Kher’s makeup artist who did his makeup for the film The Accidental Prime Minister had passed away. The veteran actor on Sunday took to social media to mourn the demise of the 33-year-old makeup artist. In the film, Kher played the role of India’s former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. He is “deeply saddened to know about the sudden death” of the makeup man.

The makeup artist’s name was Pranay Deepak Sawant. Anupam Kher shared an old video on his Instagram handle where Pranay can be seen applying makeup to him. In another video, Anupam is seen in the get-up of Manmohan Singh. The video was shot by Pranay.

“A good performance has many contributors!! Deeply deeply saddened to know about the sudden death of 33 year old makeup man #PranayDeepakSawant. He did my make up of #DrManmohanSingh in the movie #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister !! He was a genius! Always smiling! The 2nd video of me coming down the stairs was shot by him. His family must be devastated. My condolences to them and to the entire fraternity of hair and makeup artists! Om Shanti!!”, he wrote.

Recently, the actor confirmed about his wife, veteran actress and BJP MP Kirron Kher being diagnosed with blood cancer. He released a statement about her diagnosis.

On the professional front, Kher will be seen in Moh Maya directed by Narayan Shi. He shared a few pictures from the sets and wrote, “And suddenly you know it is time to start something new and trust the magic of new beginnings. Project 519 takes off. Jai Ho! #MohMaya #FrontSeatEntertainment #NarayanShi.”

Meanwhile, Dr. Manmohan Singh is admitted to AIIMS as he has tested Covid-positive.
